FAQ1: WHICH ORGANIZATION REPRESENTS THE SAT IN INDIA?
ANSWER : SAT in India is represented by United States India Educational Foundation, USIEF.
FAQ2: WHAT IS THE SAT EXAM PATTERN?
ANSWER : The SAT General Test is divided into three sections, Evidence-Based Reading, Writing, and Maths. In addition, there is one optional section which is the Essay. For attempting the essay section, candidates are given 50 extra minutes.
Total: 154 Questions (155 with Essay)
Duration: 3 Hours with 50 minutes of extra time allotted for Essay (optional)
Total Score: 1600
FAQ3: HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO GET SAT RESULT?
ANSWER : Once you give the SAT, you will need to wait around three weeks to get your test result. After that, the Result is announced on the official website of the College Board and can be easily accessed by candidates by simply logging into their student profiles.
FAQ4: HOW ARE SAT SCORES GIVEN?
ANSWER : The SAT scoring has two sections, Reading- Writing and Mathematics. Both these sections are scored on a 200-800 point scale. So the maximum score is 1600. So 200-800 is the SAT Subject Test score. There are additional subscores reported on a 20-80 scale.
FAQ5: HOW TO SEND SAT SCORES TO COLLEGES?
ANSWER : Students can send their scores to colleges in two ways: when they register for the SATs and when the official scores are released. It takes 9 days after the test, after which the candidates can send the scores to colleges. Once this is done, they need to pay $12 to send the scores to any university/program they want to.
