Passport:

A passport is the most significant document required to study abroad. If you don’t already have one, apply for one as soon as possible. Have your entrance exams ready before you schedule them. You should also maintain extra copies of the initial and last pages of the passport available. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date you want to return.

Curriculum Vitae/Resume:

A curriculum vitae is your key to getting into a university. It is the finest approach to demonstrate your abilities and expertise, as well as how you will assist the university and its students. You should arrange your CV in a way that allows admissions examiners to quickly scan for key information.

A solid CV contains all pertinent information about your schooling, job experience, extracurricular activities, awards, accolades, and accomplishments. It also contains your contact information (email address and phone number). It should be tidy and professional.

Transcripts:

Transcripts are one of the most important papers necessary for admission to US institutions. A transcript is a single piece of paper produced by your previous high school or college.

It comprises your scorecard, which is succinct and full of information on the courses you studied. Some institutions will accept copies of your transcript, but sending the original is usually preferable.

The transcript should contain details from semesters 1 through 6 for engineering students, for instance. The transcript should include scores from all years of the Bachelor’s degree for candidates who plan to continue their education after completing their Bachelor’s.

How many transcripts are required for MS in the United States?
A student must provide at least two copies of a transcript for one university. Each of them must be certified by the relevant institution.

Marksheets and Certificates of Completion:

Copies of your applicable mark sheets and pass certificates are also required. For example, if you are applying for a master’s degree, you will require mark sheets from 10th and 12th grades, as well as passing certificates from all semesters. Each application requires at least one set of duplicates, if not two. All copies must be authenticated.

Letters of Recommendation:

Letters of Recommendation are one of the most crucial papers necessary for admission to undergraduate and graduate programmes at a US university (LOR). All letters of recommendation must be written in support of the application and must come from people who are familiar with your work or character and can remark on these aspects. They must be able to articulate their college or professional level abilities, accomplishments, and experience. The content of the LOR must be printed on business header paper and sealed within the official envelope with stamps and signatures.

Scorecards of Entrance Exams:

Applicants to universities in the United States must pass specified entrance exams. Check the programme for which you are applying and have your score ready before applying to the schools of your choice.
The following are some key admission exams:
The GRE is needed for the majority of MS-level programmes in the United States.
SAT: Almost all colleges in the United States accept overseas students’ SAT scores when applying to undergraduate programmes.MCAT: This exam is for those who want to study medicine in the United States.
The GMAT is needed for admission to business schools in the United States.
The ACT is another exam score that may be required when applying to undergraduate schools in the United States. The LSAT is necessary for admission to law schools in the United States.

Test Results for English Proficiency:

Students from non-native English-speaking countries must additionally take an English language competence test. This is significant since you will be studying in English in the United States, and institutions must assure that this will not be a barrier for you. The two most well-known tests are the TOEFL and IELTS.

Statement of Purpose:

Your Statement of Purpose should illustrate your interest in and love for the subject you are seeking to study, as well as your motivation for doing so.
You can also include relevant information, such as extracurricular activities or work experience, to demonstrate that you have some of the skills or knowledge required for success in a certain study field.

Letters of Work Experience:

Include experience letters from relevant organizations if you have interned or worked there.

Research Proposal / Portfolio / Project Description:

For certain more specialized and research-based programmes, universities may additionally require research papers, portfolios, or project descriptions from students.

For research-based programmes such as Ph.D. and post-doctoral degrees, research proposals are necessary.

A project description is one of the documents required for Masters’ degrees, including research in the United States. These programmes often require the completion of a thesis.

Applicants for Masters’ programmes in the arts, design, and architecture must present portfolios. This allows the institution or university to assess your skills and potential in your field of study.

Extracurricular Activity Certificates:

Include any certifications that support your assertion that you excel in extracurricular activities. This might increase the overall appeal of your application to schools and institutions.

These materials must be included in your application. Before uploading any unneeded papers, double-check the website’s list. However, if you encounter a difficulty, do not worry! Contact one of our knowledgeable counselors.
